“ Love their egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken. I gout my order in go to rouses to pick up a few things and my dinner is ready when I leave ”
“ Don't sleep on this little gem next to Rouses in Gentilly. It is the American version of Asian takeout. My family enjoyed the shrimp with garlic sauce (tasty but could use a bit more red pepper flakes or spice to balance the sweetness but the jumbo shrimp was plentiful), hot and sour soup (definitely a must have), kung pao chicken, Hunan chicken, and the chicken mei fun noodles (perfect sized small noodles ideal for children). The dinners came with white or pork fried rice and a very yummy egg roll! All of this for less than $65 including a $10 tip. Currently available for take out or delivery only. The entire counter is is protected in plexiglass which I pray was only installed due to the pandemic because i cant stand a business thats wants to profit off a majority black community from behind bullet proof glass (if you get my drift), but i digress. The food is very good and affordable considering todays rising costs of everything. I'll definitely return for that shrimp with garlic sauce, egg rolls, and hot and sour soup. No pics yall...we was HUNGRY ”
“ General Tso Chicken and orange chicken were delicious! Everything tasted fresh. We are officially switching over to this place as our go-to Gentilly Chinese restaurant. ”
“ I LOVE this little restaurant. They are my #1 favorite Americanized-Chinese food place in New Orleans! This is a to-go fave for so many UNO students with us included. We've been coming here regularly for the past 5 years! I don't know how they aren't rated 4 stars or higher. Maybe college students don't leave too many reviews... This place is cheap and always consistently delicious! Their portions are perfect for "big-eaters" like us. Their cuts of meat are always quality with no tendon/fatty pieces! My boyfriend's order is typically the curry chicken, with tender white meat chicken swimming in a curry flavored sauce and plenty of veggies too. My usual is a tie between the shrimp lo mein and honey garlic chicken. The lo mein is always seasoned to perfection and flavorful. The honey garlic chicken is fresh and crispy on the outside with soft chicken on the inside. The food is fantastic here ALWAYS! We love the people working there too; they're always friendly and efficient! ”
“ We discovered Asian Panda in 2012, after moving into Lake Oaks (a nearby subdivision). This place is the BEST we have come across, and we've traveled extensively throughout the U.S., always trying local Chinese restaurants along the way; few others have been able to compare! Their Bourbon Chicken is consistently delicious, moist, and flavorful, and their version of Crab Rangoon is simply perfect: crispy without being too greasy, and having just the right amount of cream cheese filling. These quickly became our favorites, along with the Kung Pao Chicken with Cashews (not Peanuts). We have enjoyed many other of their dishes, yet we find ourselves returning again and again to get these three items, in particular! Also, I am very picky about my eggrolls, and Asian Panda is one of the handful of places where I actually enjoy them (so much, in fact, that I order extras, for the next day!). The portions are more than generous, easily providing 2-3 meals from one single entree. The pricing is about average, and when you factor in the amount of food served, the tastiness, and enjoyability of the entire experience, it is very much worth what they charge. The kind and friendly staff are such nice people, easy to work with, and seem more than willing to make any requested special accommodations or changes to a dish (which is how I discovered the Kung Pao Chicken with Cashews, not Peanuts). It is also *very* reassuring to see the same smiling faces every time we visit! We now (2019) live about 8 miles away, in Arabi (St. Bernard Parish), yet we STILL frequent this place; it's THAT delicious, definitely worth the drive, and always a delightful treat to ourselves to enjoy their food! ”
“ I don't know why this place has such low ratings. I've been going to this restaurant for the past 6 years and it is consistently good. They give you nice size portions, the food is flavorful and the price is just right. When I worked close to this place I would buy lunch from here at least twice a month. I am no longer in the vicinity but I have been known to stop there on my way home to pick up dinner for the family. My family's favorite is of course the bourbon chicken. It is basically teriyaki chicken and it is sweet, salty and delicious. My other favorite is the black pepper chicken. If you dont like spicy, don't get it. There are slices of jalapenos along with lots of black pepper. Yup, you'll definitely pay for that the next day. Overall, this place is not fancy but it is some of the best Chinese fast food in the city if you ask me. ”
“ This small restaurant is fantastic the food is so good. Bourbon chicken is better than anyplace around, the breading to the chicken stir fry stays crispy even after being in the sauce. The homemade tea is to die for it's so damn good. It's super inexpensive too! ”
